FAQ About The Program 

Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, JROTC, is a program that motivates their students to become better citizens for their community.

Question: If I take JROTC do i need to serve in the military when I graduate?

              Answer: No , JROTC does not obligate any students to enter the military at                              any level nor recruit students for any military service. However,                                  some students do decide to enter the military upon graduation.

Question: Do cadets have to wear uniforms?

              Answer: Yes, usually once a week, or when taking part in special                                                ceremonies.

Question: Who teaches cadets in the JROTC Program?

              Answer: Retired Army personnel with years of experience that are certified                              by the U.S. Army, but are hired and work for the school.​

Question: Is there an age requirement to be in JROTC?

              Answer: Yes, students must atleast be in 9th grade to participate in the                                    program.

Question: Can JROTC Help students become accepted into colleges?
   
                 Answer: JROTC can definitely help. The program helps to improve a students ability to study, take tests, make goals and focus. Not only that but, the program has scholarships available for cadets.

Question:  Are there fees for joining JROTC ?
   
                 Answer: No, the program supply cadets with uniform, books and any other necessary equipment.

Question:  Is JROTC as hard as it sounds ?
   
                 Answer: The course is demanding, but most students who really make a effort enjoy the challenge and thrive on the work and discipline.

If I join JROTC, do I have to join the Army? 

There is NO obligation to serve in the Army since JROTC prepares students to be better citizens for their communities not to be soldiers in the military.
